The assignment was to create an album design after choosing a band of our choice and to create visuals based on our interpretation of the music on the album. The Babe Rainbow is an Australian psychedelic rock band who embody the 60s with their playful and experimental mellow rock.  The album includes a record sleeve and a folded poster, with original imagery and typography. The concept behind the album is to show a playfulness and authenticity to represent the smaller down-to-earth band. The 3 characters illustrated on the front cover of the album represent the band members and their groovy and eclectic psychedelic style. Textured vector shapes were created in Procreate and Adobe Illustrator with risograph pens while rainbows and rainbow patterns are scattered throughout the album.
